If you came along for day with me, you would be roaming forests, walking along escarpment trails and farmland, following rivers, and chasing sandpipers along the coast in anticipation of a magnificent sunset.
I am inspired by close encounters with landscape and wildlife, the peace and calm of nature, the colour of the seasons and the swirling movements of lakes and rivers as I translate my journey to a story on canvas. Although my formal education included nursing, then the study of Environmental Science/Urban Planning and Geography, my passion for art began with the study of art history at the University of Ottawa.
I continued to be mentored by numerous talented North American artists and at the Dundas Valley School of Art. These incredible experiences have led to a lifetime of learning and creating art in watercolour, acrylics, plaster and in encaustic both on canvas and murals.
My motivation comes from the peace and calm force and shorelines; the colour of the seasons and the swirling movement of lakes and rivers.
