Unleashed colour is the most important component of my art. I have always been drawn to intense, vibrant colours, because for me it is the vehicle that best conveys my reality.
Yupo papers contain unique qualities which allow the paints to flow and mingle in a dance-like act, creating dynamic effects. The paints move side by side in a complementary motion, not always blending, but presenting a powerful contextual balance and beauty.
Although I often paint visually appealing objects from everyday life I also follow my instincts, making spontaneous decisions . My work covers a broad spectrum – from intense close-up detail to landscape and urban themes. Some of my works leave traces of a realistic world and some are completely abstract, causing the viewer to stop, reflect and ponder.
