“ Capturing a moment in life on canvas is what moves me to paint. Witnessing nature with the play of light and colour on the landscape evokes an emotional response that I need to express. For me painting is a vehicle to celebrate the inherent energy in and around us and the interconnectedness of all things.”

I see the beauty in everything. Nature is my muse. My paintings are a process of exploration and self expression, always evolving and taking new directions. I love colour. I paint with bold, loose and whimsical strokes of the brush. I am currently exploring with layers of acrylic paint, pencil and crayon markings, creating interesting texture in my abstracts, landscapes and florals. I love painting intuitively, from my heart and soul.

Much of my inspiration today comes from rural settings and my own gardens, which are surrounded by farmlands, woodlands, and wildlife.

In the summer of 2017, I had the opportunity to visit my ancestral homeland of Sicily and Tuscany. I discovered new inspiration of using a different colour palette, pertinent to the light and shapes of the Italian landscape. My passion for the people and landscape will keep me inspired for years, recording my memories on canvas.

Painting and my love of nature have always been my passions since early childhood. Every day is an adventure. I am grateful and blessed to be able to spread joy, happiness and hope through my paintings.
