Karen Murray
Karen Murray is an emerging artist who has been active in the art and design world for decades. Her interior design
profession nourishes her love of art, colour and form. For her, “Everything is inspiration.”
In her younger years she participated in juried shows in Toronto and the “burbs,” including the Toronto Outdoor Art Fair at Nathan Phillips Square. She has recently taken up her brushes and palette knives again to express her love of texture and colour. She loves to experiment and utilise nontraditional acrylic paint techniques to create unique textures, abstracts and atmospheric landscapes.
Her paintings are created through an intuitive and explorative process. Each day in the studio presents her with the openness and opportunity to explore something new.
While Karen's happy place is in her studio, she finds it an equally joyful experience in knowing that others also find joy in what she creates.
